SPRING HAS SPRUNG AT THE RANCH

You don’t have to be a kid to escape with a spring break that’s all about play. Say good-bye to the cold-weather blues and hello to pure bliss at Carmel Valley Ranch. With daytime temps in the low to mid 60s and nights in the high 40s to low 50s, spring is our sunshiney sweet spot between winter winds and summer fog. (Not that you shouldn’t come all year long.)

Here at The Ranch, our 500-acre playground is all joy, smiles and wide-open wonderful. Whether you’re into beekeeping, blazing Insta-worthy hiking trails, or the primal art (and good-natured rivalry) of archery, there’s a fresh-air filled way to spend your day. Enjoy a tennis match (or two), or hone your skills during one of our longer programs. Set a tee time on our Pete Dye golf course, and follow it with tea time on your balcony. To unwind after the sun goes down, we highly recommend gooey s’mores around the fire pits.

For a breath of fresh fare, golden sips and hands-on culinary and crafting experiences, head to the Artisans Workbench for Oyster Hour, Tasting Whiskeys of the World, Create Your Own Cupcakes, Ranch Goat Cheese Tasting, S’mores and Ranch Roundup. Spoil yourself at Spa Aiyana with a stress-reducing (and potentially youth-inducing) treatment. Or get your downward dog on with a Zen-tastic yoga class surrounded by nature and native oaks. With room to roam and exclusive outdoor activities galore, social distancing and open-air vibes were already signature Ranch features.

When wanderlust strikes, Carmel-by-the-Sea is just a skip down the road. Sip your way through world-class wineries, with a dozen well-stocked tasting rooms in Downtown Carmel alone. Find retail therapy among clustered, strollable shops and galleries. Or ramble the rugged, mile-long River Beach. Further afoot, Monterey County—home to Monterey and Pacific Grove—is a mecca for playmaking, from the planet’s best aquarium, the Old Fisherman’s Wharf and fabled Cannery Row to kayaking, whale watching and walking or biking the 18-mile Coastal Recreation Trail to Lovers Point for epic surf, sand and sunrises (and maybe a smooch).

Plan your play-filled spring break getaway today!
