March 1-31

Spring “officially” begins March 20, but we’re not waiting around: Join us for seasonal fun all month long, and special St. Patrick’s Day events, too!

Discover Geocaching

(60 minutes | $45 per device | Ages 12 & under with adult; recommended for ages 6+)

What’s at the end of the rainbow? Come find out in Discover Geocaching! Tiny treasures are hidden around The Ranch—and with the help of our naturalist, you’ll decipher clues and navigate with our GPS devices to find them. Perfect for young explorers!

Bath Bomb and Soap-Making Workshop

(60 minutes | $65 per guest | Ages 12 & under with adult; recommended for ages 6+)

Create fun, fizzy bath bombs with natural ingredients including muscle-soothing salts and essential oils harvested from our very own lavender. For March, we’ll be making special St. Patrick’s Day-themed bath bombs, featuring everything from Kelly green to rainbow colors. It’s an all-natural way to make bath time ’da bomb!

Ranch Hands Kids’ Camp

(9 a.m. to 5 p.m., $125; 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., $105 | Ages 6-12 | Includes lunch)

The perfect blend of activities for young explorers, featuring swim time in our saltwater pool, Hen House chicken-feeding trips, and special St. Patrick’s Day-themed activities such as building leprechaun traps, shamrock hunting with our naturalists, and making rainbow tie-dye shirts!

St. Patrick’s Day Fun at The Market

Stop by with your little leprechauns (or just yourself) and enjoy hand-churned mint-chip shamrock ice cream. And for the adults, we’ll have Irish coffees with hand-whipped cream.

Irish Coffee Talk

(60 minutes | $16 per mug | 21+)

Celebrate one of Ireland's greatest exports—Irish coffee! Learn how to brew a cup of this warm, frothy cocktail the way it was made when the delicacy first arrived in San Francisco. It’s the perfect beverage for chilling out on a winter night.

Irish Whiskey Tasting

The Irish have a whiskey tradition a century even older than Scotland's, so come and say "Sláinte!" to this Water of Life from the Emerald Isles. We’ll take a brief 600-year tour of its history, and sample our favorites along the way. $25 per flight

Hand-Churned Ice Cream Sundaes

It wouldn’t be a creamery without ice cream. Stop by for a scoop from our latest batch, and try our flavor of the month, Mint-Chip Shamrock. Go green!

$12 per sundae

Pot of Gold Candles & Bath Teas

(60 minutes | $65 per guest | Ages 12 & under with adult; recommended for ages 6+)

There’s no need to look for luck when you can craft your own! Create a trio of colorful candles by combining hot wax with your choice of essential oils for a fresh spring scent. Then sink your wax into a "pot of gold votive" and finish by brewing your own bath tea for a soothing, candlelit bath experience.

From Milk to Magic: Cheesemaker Workshops at The Ranch

Go beyond tasting and venture behind the scenes with Charlie Cascio, known as “Cheesemaker Charlie,” as he leads you on a deep dive into the process he uses to craft cheeses that have long been renowned by local chefs and area foodies.

Choose from one of three special experiences with this beloved artisan to see how milk becomes magic at The Ranch—and even learn how to create some magic of your own!

  • Grazing with Goats & Cheese-Making: Learn about the entire cheese-making process, from grazing and milking goats to transforming their milk into pure deliciousness.
  • Home Cheese-Making: Even if you don’t have goats, you can still create cheese using milk from cows—and Charlie will show you how in this two- or four-hour workshop.
  • Professional Artisan Cheese-Making: This three-day experience is for those seeking to take the first step toward becoming artisans themselves. It features hands-on instruction in all aspects of making fresh, aged, and brined cheeses.
