Spring has finally arrived, which means it’s the perfect time to take a break with a getaway at The Ranch. We’ve got countless ways for you to relax and recharge while celebrating the season of renewal!

The tradition continues with a bountiful brunch featuring all your favorites and originals from The Ranch, such as made-to-order eggs benedict, seasonal salads, sustainably raised seafood, and much more. You won’t want to miss Chef Tim’s prime rib and leg of lamb, and be sure to leave room for Pastry Chef Tanya’s cream-cheese frosting carrot cake and Easter Bunny cookies! It’s a dining experience for the whole family, with live acoustic music, a balloon artist, face painting, and crafts for the little ones!

Hop on down to the Organic Garden for our favorite Easter tradition. We’re hosting three hunts, featuring treat-filled eggs (and the elusive Golden Egg) hidden throughout the beds. Plus, we’ll have photo ops with our hens and goats!

Even if you make your own smoothies, you’ve probably never made them like this! Throughout April, visit our special setup at River Ranch Terrace, where we’ll add your favorite ingredients to a blender attached to our special “Rock the Bike” bicycle—and then you’ll pedal your way to a personally powered smoothie! It’s a great way to honor Earth Day all month by using your own strength instead of electricity to make something delicious. And $1 from the price of every smoothie will go toward a nonprofit dedicated to the environment. (Note: On Earth Day, April 22, this activity will take place at The Market Terrace.)
VALLEY KITCHEN SPRING MENUS
Chef Tim has plenty of seasonal goodness in store for you this April, with new menus taking advantage of spring’s freshest, brightest ingredients right from our own garden. Join us for Swank Farms Grilled Asparagus Salad, Asparagus and Ricotta Tartine, Swank Farms Cauliflower and Scallops, and desserts including Strawberry Rhubarb Crisp and a Frozen Meyer Lemon Soufflé Tart.

The Ranch exclusive Path of the Oak allows you to discover the path to empowerment and transformation through a dynamic session. Your practitioner will use kinetic bodywork, hands-on healing, spiritual wisdom with indigenous practices, and natural objects in an energy-based ceremony that restores harmony to both your body and spirit. Physical pain or discomfort is addressed while any underlying emotional and mental barriers are healing. You’ll leave behind heavy energy and strengthen your connection to spirit and soul.

Come test your night vision on this family-friendly twilight adventure with our naturalists. This activity includes a guided stroll up our Horseshoe Loop trail followed by stargazing and glow-in-the-dark fun!

Let the teens have their own night out during our Teen Takeover at River Ranch. The evening kicks off with a friendly round of archery or hatchet throwing and segues into a twilight selfie-stick scavenger hunt—followed by dinner and games in our Teen Lounge.
Beeswax Candle-Making Workshop
(90 minutes | $65 per guest | Ages 12 & under with adult; recommended for ages 6+)
Play with the endless possibilities of aromatherapy by creating a trio of customized candles using organic beeswax and a variety of essential oils, including our own homegrown lavender oil. Then hand-paint a ceramic tray to display your creations.
Blossom Bath and Body Workshop

Learn how to pamper yourself with bath products made just for you—by you! This 90-minute workshop begins by customizing handcrafted soap bars using a variety of fragrances and colors to suit your aesthetic preferences. While they solidify, we’ll explore the science behind making fun, fizzy bath bombs with natural ingredients, including muscle-soothing salts and flowers from our Organic Garden. Then wrap up all your bath and body products to take home for a sudsy spa experience any time.

Join our craft specialist for a fun egg-dyeing session with natural ingredients—they’re likely available in your home kitchen, so you can continue the fun once you return from your trip! We’ll share tips on how to use common fruits and vegetables to create vibrant and all-natural dyes that will make your Easter egg colors pop.
DIY Strawberry Dipping
April is the start of strawberry season! We’ll start with locally grown strawberries bursting with goodness, dip them in house-made chocolate sauce, and then decorate then with hazelnut croquant and white chocolate pearls. Voila! It’s love at first sight—and bite.

Tip a few glasses and taste whiskeys of the world with our Ranch bourbon aficionado. Flights will vary, but expect to see selections of bourbon, rye, scotch, and other favorites. Three pours of pure pleasure, and stories for each and every one.

It wouldn’t be a creamery without ice cream. Stop by for a scoop from our latest batch, and try our flavor of the month, Roasted Strawberry and Pink Peppercorn.
