February is Romance Month at The Ranch—and we’ve got some fun treats in store for you and your Valentine.

Sweet Surprises

Whether you’re in suite or studio—such as the blissful Vineyard Oak Studio, high above it all—our team is ready to make the experience a little extra special. Just request one of these enhancements at least 48 hours before your arrival and watch the sparks fly!

  • Bath Butler: Make bath time for two even more luxurious with bath salts, lavender bubble bath, chilled and rolled washcloths, and a half-bottle of Champagne.

  • Rose Petals: Set the mood with a trail of rose petals throughout your room! If you wish, candles also can be placed around the room for you to light when you arrive.

Make Memories at The Market

The Market is the social heart of The Ranch, and it’s ideal for you and your sweetheart, too, with plenty of romantic activities throughout February:

  • Oyster Hour Sip and Slurp: We can’t promise you pearls, but we guarantee a quintessential taste of the California coast as you enjoy Morro Bay oysters and prosecco.

  • Bourbon Tasting: Tip a few glasses and taste bourbon, rye, scotch, and other favorites with our Ranch bourbon aficionado.

  • Chocolate Strawberry Dipping: Put your own spin on this classic, creating a personalized treat with hazelnut croquant and white chocolate pearls.

  • Wine Tasting and Dessert: Savor wines from the region and around the world along with small bites of chocolates, truffles, and more.

‘Time for Love’ at Valley Kitchen

  • Chef Tim Wood and his team have created the ultimate menus for intimate, cozy dinners on the weekends of Feb. 7-9 and 15-16—including Petite Veal Osso Bucco—and for Valentine’s Day on Feb 14, romantic dishes such as Oysters Rockefeller, True Romance Lobster Thermidor, and Old-School Beef Wellington. Choose from Chocolate Truffle Tart or Passionfruit Panna Cotta for dessert, along with complimentary Mignardise! Make your reservation soon!

  • The Roots of Sweetness

  • Join Executive Pastry Chef Tanya Matta at The Lodge on Friday, Feb. 28, for an exclusive six-course tasting event—The Roots of Sweetness!

Utilizing locally grown root vegetables, we’ll begin with savory tastes and progress into sweeter desserts, all accompanied by wines that complement these distinct (and often underappreciated) ingredients. You’ll learn from Chef Tanya about the preparation and inspiration for each dish, while our sommelier will discuss the wine selections and pairing approach. Get ready to marvel as the following veggies shine in this communal dining experience!

  • Other February Fun

Looking for something a little more out of the ordinary? We’ve got you covered with unique activities that still allow for plenty of affection.

    • Archery: Calling all Cupids! Dust off those archery skills using our classic recurve bows to aim at romance-themed targets! (We recommend not aiming at your partner, though—that whole “Cupid’s arrow” thing isn’t meant to be taken literally.)

    • Romance Bath & Body Workshop: Create everything you need to celebrate Valentine’s Day—you’ll sip on prosecco while crafting bubble bath, massage oils, and a body scrub.

    • Pinot & Paint: Drink in the beauty of Carmel Valley Ranch with a paintbrush in one hand and a glass of Swing Pinot in the other—for Valentine’s Day, we’ll be featuring special painting!

    Bubbling Romance Offer

  • It’s time to soak and sip as you retreat to a luxurious suite featuring one of our signature outdoor tubs. A complimentary bottle of Prosecco is included in this package, along with romantic bath treats. Learn more.

  • No Partner? No Problem!

  • Valentine’s Day doesn’t have to be about romance—you can celebrate love among friends just as easily with a “Galentine’s” spa weekend. So grab the girls, grab one of our 1-4 bedroom suites, and grab a spot at Spa Aiyana for group treatments in the VIP Aiyana Suite, followed by lunch and Champagne in a poolside cabana.
